Hello again !
Today I will talk about the Internet and especially some goverments that want to start watching over it and eventually control it! I would really much appreciate to hear your opinions on this one!!
Why should someone want to control the internet.. I was thinking about this for quite a while. I didnt came up with much.. the forst thing that came to mind quite easilly was the fear of terrorists, which is reasonable.. but if someone wants to hide in the internet it is very easy to do so, especially when they dont make any moves to show the world that they are there. There are loads of ways to do so, but i won't get into this stuff. After thinking of this, another thought hit me.. and it was very relevant to the last one. They are like combo excuses to do whatever they want!
The second one was control, control over the crowds, control over the minds, dont missunderstand the word mind. I meant that they can pass to you whichever info they want and not what you really want. So they will make you think and act as they want.
So a logical argument is the terrorist protection, but terrorists that propose threats I dont think that they are easy to predict and I dont think they will make such silly mistakes as to openly show themselves over the internet. They should have thought about terrorists when they first saw ssh come into the market. Its simple and secure and nearly impossible to find out whats happening in the session!.
To my opinion terrorist protection is just an excuse people that decide that stuff are not very dumm.. They know what they want and know how to get it!
Although I can see from interviews that some people are very arrogant.. or at least they want to show themselves as arrogant for some reasons I dont really care. I admire them very much!! To be more precise, I admire the guy who made Slashdot.org and keeps it free! So anyone can opost theire news up there and other people can discuss them! Its like a blog with many bloggers writing at the same time! That also goes with digg.com that does approximatly the same thing!
And not only them I admire all the people of the word that have the courage to say waht they believe openly without thinking "what will they think of me", because that is the part that makes the world go wrong! People start hiding things opinions emotions and an endless chain begins where
leads to people try to get control over others so they can do what they really want in the end without caring!! To my eyes this is just stupid! But there are people that strive for power for the sole purpose to make things better! I have no one in mind but I want to believe that such a person exists!! Because if he gets power he might use it well and not succumb to the "I can do whatever I want now" idea!
