Topic Gaming: Terranigma

Hi again !

I always wanted to talk about that game although it is kind of ancient! It was released for the Super Nintendo in 1995 by Enix! Probably the best rpg (role-playing game) ever made on this universe.... as far as I know.

The story! You play a character named Ark, although you can change the name if you want :p, and you set out to... make the world.. literaly! From ressurecting the Europe, Asia... etc to bringing life to the planet . Birds, plants, animals and Humans!
Then the real deal begins where you can travel the world and basically do anything from hellping the economy of small villages to killing earth :p or relax in a city after you buy your house and also buy furnuture for it! You can do it! Invent electricity and telephones .. or at least help the inventors and many many things!

There is a serious problem about this game.. it was built to far ahead of its time.. If the same implementation of a plot line was made now! with the grapics systems that today exist then this game woud have made the whole word play for weeks!! or at least the gamers..

Someone would be able to find this game on ebay only for a very low price but! some of its merchandise like manga volumes of the booklet that came with the game is part of collections for some collector's (did this even make sense?..), and they would cost to get them (thats my guess i havent really searched for the prices of those items).

So the graphics are bad for the game although it had some 3d videos a little bit after the game starts! about 4 if i remember correctly! The music would be great if it wasnt in midi form .. but at that age that the game came out there wans't much of a choice!

Probably this is the only game that is not WoW and can make you spend a week or two, if you are hardcore gamer, just to make finish it!! but believe me if you want to get a 100% completion on this game then you will have to use a walkthrough .. or play it about 15 times from the start searching everything and talking to everyone after each of your actions.. and I mean anyone on the planet even at some remote places that you wouldnt thing that people live there.. and thats just not to miss any subquest or little thing that you could do in the game

The game has nice puzzles and a couple of riddles, it has an infiltration quest and much much more!
And Probably this is the only game that the main character is a spear user!

The battle system is quit good but unless you find a way to efficiently use magic without going somewhere and find out that you cant do any magic again then, the game is only the skill of the user! Which makes things things quite interesting!

Really I can talk about this game till tommorow and keep going..
